Final Wagner

Here is the final poster for a performance of Wagner's Der Ring des Nibelungen with both illustration and text. Supposedly, Wagner was unhappy with the costume designs in the original production. I read somewhere that he was looking for a "timeless" portrayal of the characters. I wonder what he would say about these ones.
